Embedded System

Hardware that reports to your apps

We design the electronics as well as the software: custom boards for your machines and trackers for your fleet, connected to nexp from the first prototype.

Two ways we work with you

A board designed around your process, or trackers that are ready to fit.

From board to business app

No separate cloud to buy and no data to export: the device is part of your nexp instance.

  1. 01

    The device

A board built for the job — sensors in, switched outputs out, protected against the real world.

  2. 02

    Secure connection

It registers with your nexp instance and reports over LTE; what it sends lands only in your organisation.

  3. 03

    Your apps

Live readings, history and control in Greenhouse; vehicles, trips and routes in ERP — on the web and the nexp app.

Story · Greenhouse management

From a board in the zone to a greenhouse that runs itself

We built NEXP CON and the nexp Greenhouse app together. Here is how a grower goes from wiring a zone to running every greenhouse from their phone.

  1. STEP 01

    Wire the zone

One NEXP CON per zone on 24 V: valves and misting, fans and pumps through relays, the heater behind its two-key enable, soil and climate sensors on their ports.

  2. STEP 02

    Scan to join

Scan the controller's code with the nexp app. It joins your organisation over LTE — no network to configure in the greenhouse.

  3. STEP 03

    Sensors appear

Connected sensors and switches show up on their own; add misting valves, pressure pumps and other equipment from the app.

  4. STEP 04

    Watch it live

Temperature, humidity, soil moisture and light for every zone as they change, with the history behind each reading.

  5. STEP 05

    Let it run itself

Rules and schedules act for you, grouped into profiles such as Summer or Seedlings that you switch on and off together.

  6. STEP 06

    Know when it matters

An alert when a zone leaves its range — then switch a fan, pump, valve, vent or heater from the browser or your phone.
